- Processor Speed Readme
-
- Module Description
- -----------------
- This module displays the current processor speed of the PowerBook on which
- it is runnning. This is useful for knowing when the CPU speed has been reduced
- for power conservation reasons. The module simply displays the number and
- doesn't add 'MHz' or anything to it in order to save Control Strip space. If
- anyone knows a symbol that can be used instead, I am (to quote Ross Perot) all
- ears.
- From the popup menu you can display a bunch of misc Powerbook information
- ranging from power status to current printer selection. Although this doesn't
- have anything to do with the modules main purpose I thought it a nice addition.
- In particular I thought that it may allow users to do away with several of the
- other Control Strip modules. Much of the information they provide is only needed
- occasionally and doesn't really need to be displayed on the bar. This way you
- can take a peek when you need it and save the strip space for other purposes.
